If you have attended Morning Star Fellowship for a week or a year, you have found that we like to do church with excellence and authenticity. Our Core Connect classes with give you a better understanding of who, what, when, where and why we exist. Held on Sunday mornings at 11am in the Connections Bookstore, you will have the opportunity to get to hear our core values, learn more about where we came from and where we are going and become a member, if you choose to. Core Connect is a 6-week class, which is offered three times a year. You can attend the 9 am service, grab a cup of coffee in our Connections Cafe and then enjoy the class at 11 am. While you are enjoying class your children are able to attend our DRIVEN or CRUISIN Kid's Ministry, where they will have a great time!
<<< CLASS IS FILLED FOR THIS SESSION >>>
Next Session begins April 11

 | We want you to know everything you can about Morning Star Fellowship! In our first session we will talk about our history, our style of church, review what we believe and teach and give you an overview of the class. Plus, we want you to ask questions! Taught by Pastor Liz DeFrain.
|
How do you "connect" in a large church? In our second session you will be introduced to our pastor who leads Small Groups, Dave Shalaway, and he will give an overview of our small group ministry and help you get connected. We believe Morning Star should grow "larger" and "smaller" at the same time. Find out how this works! |
The Bible says in Eph. 4:14-15 . . . "that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head - Christ." The next step in the Core Connect class is Spiritual Maturity, which is taught by Pastor Paul Willman. Find out how to finish well as a believer in Jesus Christ. |

What makes you who you are and what gifts can you use to serve God both in the church and in the world? Taught by Lowell and Loretta Levengood, you will find this presentation to be both informative and fun. During this session you will investigate four topics: Exploring My Experiences, Exploring My Personality, Exploring My Giftedness and My Design For Ministry. In Exploring My Experiences you will look at God's plan for every believer; how your life experiences affect your ministry and more. Lowell and Loretta will share current ministry opportunities along with some future ministry plans within Morning Star Fellowship. |

Taught by Pastor Bruce Borgard, SERVING is a look at creative ways to fulfill the Great Commission. Our purpose and the purpose of the church is to continue the work of Jesus on the earth. Jesus' ministry could be boiled down to two basic things - To destroy the works of the devil and to seek and save the lost. (1 John 3:8) (Luke 19:10) First we will look at Evangelism and Effectiveness; the two E words. Next we will discuss The Process of Evangelism. We will also be examining two ways that everyone, from the timid to the aggressive, can be involved in evangelism. One is Servant Evangelism and the other is Prayer Evangelism. Our desire is that you will be stirred up to embrace the mission of spreading the good news of Jesus Christ. |

 | We will end our six week session talking about our role as a kingdom builder. We believe that our mission is not just about building Morning Star Fellowship, but impacting the world. We are happy when other churches do well! In our final session we will share our vision for planting churches and our partnership with the Jewish people. Following this class, you will enjoy a luncheon when you can meet the staff. |
