| Is the group only for chemical addictions? While this is definitely an approprate place for those who have struggled with drugs and alcohol, it is not limited to those issues. In fact only one in four of our participants have that as their primary issue. Back to top
| Is your group appropriate for other addictions? Absolutely. We have participants who have grown through our group in recovery from sexual addiction, food issues, and inappropriate spending, just to name a few. Back to top
| Do I have to have an "addiction" to come to the group? No. Our group helps ANYONE deal with ANY hurt, habit or hang-up. That could include just about anyone. It may be someone who is dealing with a significant life event like a death, a job-loss, a broken relationship, abuse, depression, or are close to someone who is an addict. We can help people who simply need accountability or support in learing how to become better Christians. Back to top

| What is "co-dependency"? For this and many other issues, go to the "About CR" tab and select the "List of Issues" option for a brief explanation. Back to top
| Do I have to sign up? No. Just show up. You are welcome to arrive early if you would like to ask some questions before the group time starts. If not, be aware that we offer a unique group every week that is offered for all first-time attenders. It tells a little about who we are and gives the participants a chance to ask questions. | When can I join? We have our annual Kick-Off in mid-January every year, but you are welcome to join us any Tuesday of the year. There are principles that you can start learning and applying to your life right away while you build a network of supportive and caring friends in a safe environment. Back to top

| What would I expect when I come? What is your format? We start our Large Group promptly at 7:00 pm every Tuesday. All participants meet together for this first hour: men and women, and all issues. There is worship and a reading of the Steps or Principles followed by announcements. There is then a teaching or testimony (that alternate each week), concluding with more worship and a reading of the serenity prayer.
The second hour has all participants break up into gender-specific and issue-specific groups called Open share Groups. Each particpant has a few minutes to share about how they are doing in their recoveries.
At 9:00, there is a time of fellowship where healthy snacks are offered. Back to top
| Is it true that there is no hugging on Tuesdays? We ask that no hugging occur between men and women. Because we want it to be a safe place for ALL who attend, this is one of the boundaries we have in place. We also encourage participants to take any necessary medications privately. Sensitivity should be taken with what foods are eaten or offered to others. Also, participants should not dress in ways that would draw too much attention to their bodies. Back to top
| Is there childcare? Yes. The cost is $3.00 for one child and $5.00 for two or more children in the same family. All of our workers have gone through proper background checks. You may drop children off as early as 6:55 and should pick them up by 9:00. Back to top
| Do you take up an offering? Yes, we do collect a love offering each week. THIS SHOULD NOT REPLACE YOUR GIVING OF TITHES AND OFFERINGS TO YOUR HOME CHURCH. It is a way to offset the financial needs of the group. If you are new to the group, let the basket pass. However, if you have been blessed by the group, and especially if you are wasting less money on your addictions, please consider giving. Back to top
| What if I can't make it every week? You control your own recovery. We encourage you to come as often as possible, but recognize that things come up. We have found that consistency is very helpful in recovery, but coming inconsistanly is better than not coming at all. Back to top
| Are your leaders trained counselors or psychiatrists? No. They are people who know what it is like to be lost or broken or desperate, and who have overcome through the power of Jesus Christ. They now are committed to helping others find hope and healing as well. Back to top
