It took a great deal of time and trust with the former TEAM members to become an Assimilation coach. So leading and guiding others is not taken lightly and I hold as a privilege and honor serving the CR ministry at Morning Star Fellowship, in the model of Saddleback, California. Keeping Jesus Christ my number one focus and a loving family unity among the TEAM and with the leaders an attitude of the heart, keeps all that is done in the CR ministry an example that all the participants can be assured of an atmosphere of safety and confidentiality.
Our "Precious Moments" would be the 101 time we spend with the newcomers. Leaders and TEAM members who have voluntarily expressed a passion in this area of CR go through a very thorough training process with the Training Coaches. Spending an hour with people who are broken and searching for an avenue of healing and recovery not only edifies my own recovery and helps the compassion and humility in my own heart to grow more, but fills me with true and genuine love for others I never had before.
Personally I can still remember walking in through the parking lot on a hot, humid summer day as a newcomer, twenty months ago, like it was yesterday. The nurturing, care and understanding I received in 101 was the reason for my return to CR. My brothers and sisters, this is not a Christian AA, it is for all and any hurt, habit and hangup that keeps you in a pit and isolated from Jesus Christ.
